SHAAL (QUETTA) – July 17, 2025: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for an attack on vehicles carrying supplies for Pakistan’s paramilitary forces in the Kech district of Balochistan.

In a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Azad Baloch, the group said its fighters targeted two vehicles on Shahab Road in the Kulbar area on Wednesday.

The vehicles were reportedly transporting rations for the Frontier Corps (FC), a federal paramilitary force deployed throughout Balochistan.

The statement added that one of the vehicles was seized by BLA fighters, while the second was set on fire along with the supplies it was carrying.

The BLA described the operation as part of its continuing armed resistance against what it “occupying forces” in Balochistan, where insurgent groups have long demanded independence.

The region remains tense as such attacks reflect the persistent security challenges in Balochistan, where conflict between pro-freedom Baloch groups and the state has spanned decades.
